End of Watch

Following two cops working a rough beat, End of Watch had a lot of story potential, but oddly, there was no overarching conflict. They had intermittent struggles, but none lasted longer than a few minutes. Strangest of all is that they kept alluding to potential larger issues, but it was only after over an hour and change that a bigger plot materialized. And even that had a short lifespan. Also, the climax was extremely aggravating. But, I will say that I did quite enjoy the acting and chemistry between Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña. They made this lackluster flick watchable.
